Split Map Art

Split's old town clings to a rocky peninsula jutting into the Adriatic, its medieval street grid radiating outward from Diocletian's Palace at the center. The Marjan headland rises steeply to the west, covered in pine forest and ringed by a coastal path; to the east, the city sprawls across flat ground toward the airport and industrial zones. The Dalmatian islands—Brač, Šolta, and Hvar—dot the waters offshore, visible across the narrow channel that defines Split's relationship to the sea.
