Krakow Map Art

Kraków's old town sits on a tight medieval grid within the Planty ring park, where city walls once stood. The Vistula River curves sharply around the south and east sides, with Wawel Castle anchoring the riverbank's highest point. Kazimierz, the former Jewish quarter, lies just across the river on higher ground, its narrow streets running perpendicular to the main avenues radiating outward from the Market Square.
