Nice Map Art

Nice's street grid runs perpendicular to the Mediterranean coast, with the Promenade des Anglais sweeping along the seafront in a long crescent. The Paillon River cuts through the city center, its dry riverbed now a linear park dividing old town from newer quarters. Medieval Nice clusters on the eastern side, its narrow streets climbing steeply toward Castle Hill, while the western side fans out in orderly blocks toward the airport and suburbs.
