Bratislava Map Art

Bratislava's map is dominated by the Danube River's sharp bend, which curves north then west through the city center, creating a tight peninsula where the Old Town clusters. The Carpathian foothills rise immediately to the north, visible as elevation contours that push the street grid into the narrow floodplain. Castle Hill crowns the landscape at the western edge, its fortification overlooking both the river and the Habsburg-era streets radiating downslope toward the waterfront.
