Denpasar Map Art

Denpasar spreads inland from the Strait of Lombok, its street grid organized around Jalan Gajah Mada and Jalan Diponegoro, the two main arteries running north-south through the city center. The Tukad Badung river threads through the western half, dividing the commercial core from residential areas that radiate outward. Traditional ward boundaries (banjar) layer beneath the modern street plan, creating an intricate patchwork visible where colonial-era roads meet newer developments.
