Bogota Map Art

Bogotá sits on a high plateau at 2,640 meters, its grid streets running north-south and east-west across the Sabana de Bogotá. The city spreads between the San Cristóbal and Monserrate ridges to the east, with the Río Bogotá flowing along its western edge before turning sharply south. Carrera Séptima runs as the city's spine from south to north, dividing neighborhoods into eastern and western zones, while the older colonial core clusters around La Candelaria near the center.
